The Question: How can I keep from making a bad decision?
The Point: Don't let desire overshadow wisdom.
Scripture: Genesis 25:29-34
Life Principles:
· Be careful when you're tired.
· Don't be impulsive.
· Don't exaggerate the need.
· Consider the cost.
Questions to ask:
- Have you ever made a decision when you were extremely tired and realized later that it wasn't very wise? What was the outcome?
- Would you consider yourself impulsive? Why or why not?
- Why is it important not to be impulsive when making decisions that will affect the rest of your life?
- How often do you convince yourself of a need so you won't feel bad when you make the decision to go ahead with it?
- What decisions are you making right now that will have a cost later in life?
