The Question: How can I keep from making a bad decision? 

The Point: Don't let desire overshadow wisdom.

Scripture: Genesis 25:29-34

Life Principles:

· Be careful when you're tired.

· Don't be impulsive.

· Don't exaggerate the need.

· Consider the cost.

Questions to ask:

• Have you ever made a decision when you were extremely tired and realized later that it wasn't very wise? What was the outcome?
• Would you consider yourself impulsive? Why or why not?
• Why is it important not to be impulsive when making decisions that will affect the rest of your life?
• How often do you convince yourself of a need so you won't feel bad when you make the decision to go ahead with it?
• What decisions are you making right now that will have a cost later in life?

The Question: Why does God care about the decisions I make? 

The Point: God has a purpose for you.

Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 32:8-9; Psalm 138:7-8

Life Principles:

· He has good plans for you.

· He wants to show you the way.

· He desires to complete His purpose in you.

Questions to ask:

What do you believe are God's plans for you?

How has God revealed that plan to you?

To what degree do you believe God cares about the decisions that you make on a daily basis?

To what extent do you believe that God has a specific purpose for you?
